The Vision

The Forbes Avenue project shows how much character can fit into a compact backyard when every element is doing real design work. The pool and spa are paired with a tanning shelf, a strong vertical water wall, and a fire-lounge zone that makes the yard feel layered rather than cramped.

Turf accents and clean paving lines help soften the hardscape while keeping the overall look modern. The finished space feels intimate, tailored, and highly functional for relaxing or entertaining in Encino.

Technical Challenges & Solutions

Compact-Site Planning: Fitting a pool, spa, tanning shelf, fire feature, and circulation space into a tighter yard required disciplined layout decisions so the project would still feel generous.
Feature Layering: The water wall, fire lounge, turf, and hardscape all needed to support one another so the backyard would read as sophisticated instead of crowded.
